Here We Go!

Got my sonogram this morning and the nurse called and said that we’d be going for the retrieval on this Thursday, and then transfer next Tuesday!  Finally!  When I left, they thought maybe even Friday, but I guess the Dr. thinks its worth it to go now as opposed to possibly losing some of my nicer, bigger follies.   So I’ll finish out my Gonal-f tonight and tomorrow morning, go in for last bloodwork first thing tomorrow morning, get my final instructions, and trigger sometime tomorrow night.  Is it silly to be looking forward to the bed rest on the days after the procedures??

Anyway, if you’re reading, and I know only about five of you are out there :), all things crossed, ok?  Eyes, fingers, legs, whatever!  Because this is it!

  4. Hey! Congrats on the follies. This is from Wikipedia (so read with a grain of salt)….apparently it keeps you from ovulating too early. They were concerned that I would. It worked, I’ll be doing the trigger tonight and retrieval on Wednesday!
Ganirelix acetate (or diacetate) is an injectable gonadotropin-releasing hormone antagonist (GnRH antagonist). It is primarily used in assisted reproduction to control ovulation. The drug works by blocking the action of GnRH upon the pituitary, thus rapidly suppressing the production and action of LH and FSH. It is administered as a daily subcutaneous injection.

  5. okay, so the Ganirellix is what my luveris was doing. I didn’t find the luveris bad to take, though.
